History of Verve College

Verve College was established in 1997, with the primary goal to hone skilled professionals for the Information Technology (IT) industry. Verve College soon clarified its institutional focus and purpose toward providing quality health care education as well, recognizing the immense scope and demand on the healthcare industry. Realizing the important role nurses play in health care, we worked on developing a comprehensive Practical Nursing (PN) program that gave aspiring Practical Nurses the essential skills and education they need to not only cater to the needs and rigors of the profession but also thrive in this capacity.

Our Practical Nursing program was approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in 2007, allowing us to produce our very first batch of trained Practical Nurse graduates, class of 2008. Since then, we have been endeavoring tirelessly to continually refine the program to meet the evolving needs of healthcare and to help our enrolled students develop the skill base and confidence they need to carry out their professional duties with utmost efficiency.

With campuses in Oak Brook and Chicago, we hope to inspire local students to make a difference in their community while elevating their own careers. We invite you to become a part of Verve College’s legacy and help us establish our history as Chicago’s preferred Practical Nurse program.
