What Is the PN Entrance Exam?

The Practical Nursing (PN) Entrance Exam is a practice exam provided by Verve College to prepare you for entrance into higher education nursing programs. This exam is based on the ATI-TEAS (Assessment Technologies Institute – Test of Essential Academic Skills) Admission Assessment Exam Review. The PN entrance exam assesses basic skills in reading, English, mathematics, and science.

TEAS Review Sessions

Verve College also offers TEAS review sessions. These sessions will assist you in getting prepared for the entrance exam and will offer you a comprehensive overview of the ATI-TEAS exam.

We encourage you to register one week before your exam date to ensure your seating. Payment is accepted in the form of a Cashier’s Check or credit card.

Entrance Exam Policy

All ATI-TEAS Entrance Examinations must be taken at Verve College. We do not accept outside ATI-TEAS Exams. Scores of 45% or higher are required for program admission. Each attempt is at a cost of $50 to the student and must be paid before the student is allowed to take the exam. A picture ID is required at the time of exam. If a student does not pass the ATI-TEAS exam with a 45% or higher on the first attempt, the student must wait five days before a second attempt. In the event the student does not pass with a 45% or higher on the second attempt, the student must wait a period of 14 days before attempting the ATI-TEAS entrance exam again. $50 will be charged each time the student takes the ATI-TEAS entrance exam.

The TEAS Exam cannot be taken more than one year prior to the student’s enrollment in the PN program. If you have taken the TEAS Exam more than one year ago, you must retake the exam and pass again with a 45% or higher.

A student is given a maximum of three attempts to pass the entrance exam.
