Prepare for Higher Learning in Healthcare

Verve College offers a variety of review exams to help health industry students prepare for the Admissions Assessment Exam. The ATI-TEAS (Assessment Technologies Institute – Test of Essential Academic Skills) is an online review that can help students assess their strengths and weaknesses in preparation for the entrance exam. The ATI-TEAS, written at the high school and beginning college levels, covers basic reading, mathematics, science, and English skills that are important to know and apply in order to successfully complete higher-level health care education.

What Is Covered In This Course

This course covers:

• Mathematics, with conversion tables and practice problems
• Reading and grammar, with step-by-step explanations
• Vocabulary, with a substantial list of words used in health professions
• Biology, chemistry, and physics, with sample questions and rationales
• Anatomy and physiology, with helpful terminology

TEAS assessments are used at most nursing and allied health schools as a standard entrance exam. ATI assessment will be used throughout the program, so this course will set the student up for future success and allow the student and staff insight into the student’s strengths and weaknesses.

The Admissions Assessment Exam covers basic academic skills that are important to know and apply in order to be successful in college coursework. The exam measures a student’s ability to read, understand, and critically think about college-level academic material. In addition, the exam assesses a student’s basic math skills and their ability to use scientific information in problem solving. The English section of the exam measures a student’s writing skills and their ability to understand academic level reading passages.
