Anatomy and Physiology Course Prep at Verve College

Anatomy and Physiology for Illinois Nursing Students

Anatomy and physiology is the basic foundation on which the entire medical community is built. A firm understanding of how the body systems work in harmony allows the licensed practical nurse to better understand the importance of accurate assessment, the impact of their treatments and interventions, and provides a framework for evidence-based care. A comprehensive valuation of the working of the human body allows Illinois PNs to better understand how the body systems work together and how medications administered may affect these systems for better holistic care and patient outcomes.

Anatomy and Physiology coursework is a basic requirement for every healthcare professional course including emergency medical technicians, physical therapy, and nursing at every level. For students who intend to continue their PN education toward becoming a registered nurse, advanced A&P courses will be required. A basic understanding of concepts gained in the A&P prep course at Verve College sets nursing students up for success regardless of their educational or career goals.
